Scope of application:
This accessibility statement applies to the website salzburgguides.at.
Our goal:
We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG), based on EU Directive 2019/882. Our efforts are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA) and the European Standard EN 301 549.
Accessibility status:
Our website is currently partially accessible. We are continuously taking steps to further improve accessibility. Among other tools, we use UserWay to support ease of use.
The following points are still in progress or present challenges:
- Some image or video content does not yet have complete alternative text or subtitles.
- PDF documents on the site are not fully accessible in some cases.
- Contrast ratios and keyboard operability are regularly reviewed but are still undergoing improvement.
Disproportionate burden:
In certain cases (e.g., older videos without audio description or externally embedded content), full accessibility currently represents a disproportionate burden. However, we strive to provide accessible alternatives wherever possible.

If you notice any barriers on our website, we appreciate your feedback. Please send us an email at freizeitbetriebe@wks.at with a description of the issue and – if possible – the exact URL of the affected page.
